Your Right to Delete

You have the absolute right to delete your Pranayini account and all associated personal data at any time. We honour deletion requests promptly and permanently. Once deleted, your profile will no longer be visible to other users.

How to Delete Your Account

There are two ways to request account deletion:

Option A — In-App (Recommended)

1. Open Pranayini and go to Profile → Settings
2. Tap Account → Delete Account
3. Select a reason (optional) and confirm deletion
4. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours

Option B — Email Request

1. Send an email to pranayiniapp@gmail.com
2. Use subject line: Account Deletion Request
3. Include the email address or phone number registered on Pranayini
4. We will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days

What Gets Deleted

Backups & Residual Data

Your data may persist in encrypted backup systems for up to 90 days after deletion as part of our disaster-recovery architecture. These backups are isolated and not accessible for regular operations. They are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle.

Active Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active paid subscriptions. Please cancel your subscription through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) before or after account deletion to avoid further charges. Pranayini does not issue refunds for unused subscription periods unless required by applicable law.

Content Reported by Others

If another user has reported your content for a safety or abuse violation, we may retain that specific content and associated metadata for up to 1 year to facilitate any ongoing investigation by our Trust & Safety team or law enforcement, even after you delete your account.

Re-registration After Deletion

You may create a new Pranayini account after deletion. However, if your account was deleted due to a violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service, you may be permanently banned from the platform and re-registration attempts will be refused.

Data Download Before Deletion

You may request a copy of your personal data before deletion. To do so, email pranayiniapp@gmail.com with the subject line Data Download Request. We will prepare and send a downloadable archive within 15 business days.
